PHOTOSHOOT PREP GUIDE
You did it - you’re booked in for a beauty or boudoir session! Now you might be thinking, what did I get myself into? There’s a lot that goes into a portrait experience and it can seem overwhelming. Here’s a guide to help you when prepping for your shoot - you can leave the rest up to us!
40 over 40 THIS IS ME
The whole point of this journey is to celebrate you whether you are in your 40's, 50's, or 60's through seeing yourself in the most beautiful light.
My intention is for you, everyday women, to truly reconnect with yourself and embrace who you are in your journey right now. Fall in love with yourself and the image you see in the mirror. I want to empower women of all ages by letting them see, acknowledge and totally love their own beauty even after you've gained weight, no matter what your body shape and skin color, I want to show YOU, your story and your strength. Time to get out of your comfort zone! If you are in your 40's and up, I'd love to have you.

Unfortunately, my mother passed away when I was an infant due to an inoperable brain tumor. I have only ONE picture of her that I hold close to my heart. I look exactly like her! What I'm ultimately trying to say is that people have told me that I'm beautiful inside and out. It was difficult for me to believe because of the way I've been treated. Through all of that, I've received a formal education. I have a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from FPU and am currently enrolling in the Forensic Psychology Program in Bakersfield. It has been a long, hard road; however, I have been strengthened by it. -Makeba

THIS IS ME CAMPAIGN FIRST STARTED around July 2019 and it is going strong! The main purpose of the campaign is to encourage and empower women who are in their 30's to 60's by creating beautiful and powerful portraits showcasing their own unique beauty and strength, and no matter what their age, color, or body size, to help remind them how incredible and extraordinary they are.
What I love about doing this campaign is that these women have gone through so much in life and yet where they are now, they are fully loving and embracing their journey and doing amazing things in life. They are stronger than they have ever been and by sharing their story through this campaign, we can change, give hope to someone's life and make a positive impact on women who can use some positive encouragement. Each and every one of us has a beautiful and unique story that needs to be told and shared.
Each woman who is selected for the project gets to experience her own magazine-style portrait session and finally SEE her own beautiful self. Because it always starts with YOU first.
